NICU Scent Cloth Making for Rush Children's Hospital

NICU Scent Cloth Making for Rush Children's Hospital

$0.00

Join us in-person to make Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Scent Cloths for Rush Children's Hospital. Rush University Medical Center in Chicago offers Level III neonatal intensive care units - the highest level of care for babies in need. Rush's neonatologists and NICU nurses use advanced technology to provide expert, around-the-clock care for babies born too soon or with certain health conditions.

Your support matters and the need is great! Due to the often emergent nature of a NICU admission, caregivers are immediately separated from their infants, disrupting the natural bonding period. Scent Cloths help with this process.

TQT is providing the fabric, patterns and use of store sewing machines for this event. You just need to bring your enthusiasm! While all skill levels are welcome, this event is for ages 16+.

Space is limited, so secure your spot by registering. Walk-ins are welcome if not all registered spots are taken.

Three 1-hour time slots are available on Wednesday, November 8 and Thursday, November 9. Register for whatever time slot works for you. You do not need to stay for the full hour. For every 6 scent cloths you make, you will receive a $5 TQT gift certificate good until the end of December 2023!

We can accept donations of these items but they MUST come from smoke and pet free environments to protect these sensitive patients. Any donations will be laundered in hospital machines prior to going to recipients, so the finished products must be able to withstand high temperature washing. No flannel or embellishments, please.
