Skill Builder: Freestanding Lace
$35.00

Freestanding lace is an embroidery technique where a design is stitched on wash away stabilizer. After stitching, the design is rinsed in water, which dissolves the stabilizer, and you are left with a thread-only project. Examples include simple projects such as snowflakes to decorate your home to more complex projects such as three-dimensional ornaments.

In this class, we will explain in detail how to make freestanding lace, and you will stitch out a design. We will also discuss freestanding appliqué, which is a similar technique. Class fee includes supplies needed and use of a classroom embroidery machine.

No prior experience with machine embroidery is required.
